Movement Toward Definition
In MTD, Orrico investigates more of the phenomenology behind his work. Within these drawings, movement is initiated through observations made between kinesthetic and psychological experiences.
Orrico enters gradations of his split focus, etching into neutral space to bury trace, hyper-recover, repopulate, and deviate unabashedly. Sketch-like qualities mirror constant vibration, and line derives both by the body sensing at the receptive level and by the will of cognition. His allowance for handedness to fluctuate between bilateral, dominant and nondominant initiations blends the surface area into a grey topography of harmony and dissonance.
